As one of the UK's outstanding personal trainers and a former top International Sportswoman, Catherine Smallbone is a highly accomplished sport and exercise consultant and health and fitness expert with over 20 years experience. Catherine is also fluent in French, Spanish and Portuguese.

From a young age Catherine has been involved in sports, whether it was riding horses, playing tennis, participating in charitable events, running marathons or fitness businesses. She was not content to just casually take part in sport. She always strived to be the best she could be in whatever sport or activities she embraced. Her sports and fitness endeavours have seen her feature on television and in fitness publications such as Shape Magazine, alongside actress Mimi Rogers.

Catherine’s discipline, dedication and determination, has been the driving force behind her success as an international sportswoman as well as in her professional career. Whilst juggling life’s responsibilities, family and children, she went from being a complete novice in dressage to competing at the World Equestrian Games, winning National Championships, Dressage Horse of the Year and being qualified and short-listed for the Sydney Olympic Games, all in barely three years. After attaining an MBA at the International University of Monaco and several years working in finance, she returned to her roots: sports and fitness. Catherine now combines her experience in the finance and fitness industries at Insider Training Europe where she and her team help people of all ages and levels of fitness to achieve their goals.

Whether your goals are weight loss or sports specific skill development, her proven custom made training programmes help you achieve your full potential.

Philosophy: Helping you to redefine your physical wealth.

Catherine Smallbone is a highly motivated and experienced sport and exercise consultant and personal trainer. Being a top international sportswoman and also having excellent business knowledge evidenced with her holding an MBA qualification as well, means her experience and insight in matters relating to sport performance and achievement are second to none. It was therefore a pleasure when Catherine shared her knowledge with my 3rd Year Undergraduate Sport Science Psychology students at Middlesex in 2012. She is not only a role model but an excellent source of information that should be sought and utilised by anyone wanting to improve their health via sport.
